DESCRIPTIONS:

We are offering these two(2) cotton unused deadstock cotton work garments: 1 coat (kateigi*), 1 full-length work kimono; 2 sold as a lot; Mint, higher quality cotton, thicker; One has the usual kateigi* cut, a smaller 10-inch sleeves cuffs, 12 inches at body seam; Both have dark burgundy color liners; well made;

KATEIGI WORK COAT:  Colors are predominantly burgundy-reds to deep reds, flowers in whites to pale gray with some mustard-yellow, pale green accents; designs are of blossoms with leaves -- possibly peonies --not a typical design of Japanese flowers we see in these older cotton garments;   running very fine pinstripes in pale blue-gray.

LONG WORK KIMONO: The background is a grid of sorts gray and white-gray, with small circular (coin?) elements under 1 inch / 2.54cm diameter; the foreground is 90% filled with classic chrysanthemum blossoms with leaves; and note that the background has lateral thin lines skipping, evocative of water and morning fog-dew in traditional Japanese art and aesthetics.
